The Glider Pilot Regiment DVD

In this two hour long film, Guild members Mike Peters and Tim Saunders take a detailed look at the short but illustrious history of the GPR, from its raising  at Churchill's insistence, following the dramatic use of German airborne troops in the opening act of the 1940 Campaign, through their first campaigns in the Mediterranean, to their participation in the highlights of the North West European Campaign. This is followed by a review of the regiment's service in the Far East and after the war, through to the disbandment of the GPR, and the rise of the modern Army Air Corps.

With unique contributions from numerous GPR veterans, not only do Mike and Tim look at the action in the air and on the ground, but also cover important details about the aircraft, and how they were flown, making this a film for both the student of land warfare and for aviation buffs.
